Welcome Post: White and Wood

Welcome to Cups That Cheer, my new tea blog!  For my first post, I'd like to share a simple and elegant set I came upon this past weekend.

Item: White ceramic teapot with matching teacup and wooden coasters.

Location: Espíritu Santo Restaurant, Valparaíso, Chile

Comments: Sometimes, less is more.  I am partial to the simplicity of the untouched white ceramic design, and the almost miniature feel of the teapot whose size equals the seemingly oversized teacup.  My favorite part are the identical wooden coasters accompanying the ceramic pieces, slightly raised on one side, giving a leaf-like effect.  Fancy?  Not really.  Elegant?  Absolutely!
